Dear Mark1, Paul and Neil and all the others THANK YOU for your support and kind comments.
Dear all here is today's update on the carrier for the diorama battle of Coral Sea...l added 2 extra planes and removed the yellow towing clamps that were not historically accurate and l placed the correct ones...enjoyComment

Kudos Greg looking the Bomb....just a suggestion, wings would be folded on the hangar deck except when maint. was being performed. Also in some instances they would be unfolded if they fit that way on the elevator and were sometimes actually armed while on the elevator and then run up onto the flight deck. an expedient if not dangerous undertaking.

Dear  Rick just for your info Yorktown CV-5 did not have at Coral Sea F4F with foldable wings..they still had F4F-3 non foldable wings..and my diorama depicts the after battle and the recovery phase after the bomb that hit the main deck, hangar and sublevels...so planes are moved away from the "blast", the fire and the damage. Plus most of the planes were without payload since the diorama depicts recovery phase after the battle...and if l remember correctly the refuelling of the planes and rearming was made on the main deck not in the hangar...Kudos Greg looking the Bomb....just a suggestion, wings would be folded on the hangar deck except when maint. was being performed. Also in some instances they would be unfolded if they fit that way on the elevator and were sometimes actually armed while on the elevator and then run up onto the flight deck. an expedient if not dangerous undertaking.
