There's definitely no reason to use a different version Mk 4 Alan - many of the Ausf D & E appeared as

late as 1943 - some were used in Operation Citadel as support vehicles.

          Cheers

Patrick do you know if any were painted different to the german grey after 43 or would they still be the same?

The change to Dunkelgelb was in August 1943, so as your dio is set in 1942..

However, I've seen pics of SPG's & tank destroyers in what looks like a sandy colour with dark (possibly green lines / splotches) .

The official change of 1943 was as much to save money through standardization, as it was to curb the regimental differences in what colours their vehicles were painted.

                Cheers

                  Excellent work so far Alan!

This is on the way to become a terrific diorama

Thank you folks as you can see I've had to change the year due to the Marder

Cheers for the paint scheme for the panzer I was thinking along similar lines but instead of green I was going to paint it red/brown so I'll bow to your knowledge and paint it in green

Well I know next to nothing about camo, or the history's of armored vehicles but, I do know a great dio in the making, and I can see this is going to be outstanding, well done so far.

Thanks for the compliment but I think I'm going to disappoint lol

Something will go wrong and have to be changed and it will not look as how I really want it to because this is going a little too well at the moment lol

But thanks for the compliments and advice/confidence I really appreciate them

Have confidence in yourself mate...it will all work out. The moment something starts or feels like it is going wrong...stop and walk away. Too many times have I tried to salvage and made things worse lol.
