Very nice paintwork Peter. Astonishing. I guess painting high quality models makes the work effort much more fun I reckon? ^^

      Cheers

Steve - Get it out of the stash - it's a great model.

        Scottie - Cheers old mate.

        Jason - Many thanks.

Wouts - These Young Miniatures busts are certainly very nice to work on.

        A little bit more done:

In the spirit of Steve McQueen and James Garner taking their first sip of moonshine in the Great Escape - WOW!

Lee - Many thanks for looking in.

Steve - Thanks, or is that 'Wow, rough!'

              The torso's done:

The radio harness will be mostly covered, but on the basis that you never know what will show, I gave it a full paint-job.

              The fiddly bits next:

                Hi Peter,
                to echo Steve- WOW!
                and anything but rough.
I must watch the Tin Drum again-haven't seen it since it came out 1980 or whenever....all I remember of it now is the opening shot with the horse head......

Definitely not rough! More like a diamond in the rough. Nearly there now. Lovely work

Another big WOW from me. You have really captured the youth of this guy.

Neil - Many thanks. That horse's head! The scene actually occurs well into the film (anorak, anorak), but it is unforgettably horrible.

Steve - I was only joking. Still the grenades, hand-set and antenna to do. Hopefully I'll get them done tomorrow before my granddaughter arrives and mayhem ensues.

Jim - Thanks. The box artist has done a better job on his youth. I can't work out how he's done it except by perhaps ignoring some of the detail around the eyes.

Lee - Cheers. Young B Song is a master at sculpting wrinkled clothing, and if it's there, you at least have the option of trying to paint it. I always feel beholden to the sculptor to try and bring out any detail he's provided.

Radio and pouch attached and painted:

Not enamoured of my work on the radio, but at least the back will be covered by the grenades.
