Excellent work Alex - the face is full of character.

Morning all. I reckon this chap's done now though he needs a decent plinth. I'll probably add some grass to the groundwork too. He's mostly painted with acrylics - the jacket and pelisse are a mix of Vallejo 970 deep green mixed with varying amounts of black which gives a good Rifle Green. I added a touch of 815 basic fleshtone for highlights. Braid was painted black then highlighted with Revell anthracite. The fur trim is Humbrol 186 brown, drybrushed with 62 leather brown then given a wash of black. His sash is Humbrol British Crimson highlighted with Vallejo 926 red. His face and hands are done with enamels, I made a basic mix of crimson, leather brown and flesh, then added more flesh and some white for the highlights, and chocolate brown for the deep shadows.

Nice, very nice. Hopefully work commitments will allow us to see some more of your work sooner rather than later. Thanks for sharing WindyComment
