 Yes those girls were something else. Very brave as they were transporting new aircraft which were highly possible lethal machines having just come out of the factory. No doubted tested but I suspect this was an up and down by the tester while the "Spitfire Girls" were taking them some distance. I bet they were in the air much longer than the fighter pilots.

 Yes very brave young women I saw this doc a few years ago or one like it, I don't understand why they are not more in the history books, women did a lot of very dangerous stuff in WWII even as spys and didn't get any recognition, at least now where near as much as their male counterparts, yet they did as much if not more than their male counterparts.Comment

 Yes just had a look. I knew there was a book written on the subject but seems I am a bit down on info. here.
 
 There are over half a dozen so they are not forgotten.
