I love classic Vauxhalls/Opels!! When I had my first job a friend of my boss had a manta 400 would pop into office occasionally and I would just stare out the window at his car!!

Or an astra mk2 gte would be nice!

Yes Laurie, 1982 Calypso 1.6. I was going to fit a bigger engine and have a new respray but but i've found out there is only 51 Calypso's left, so keeping as it is. The only thing i will be doing is fitting a five speed gearbox for better motorways driving.Have fun, John

Yes that is the one. Mark's Capri probably older he had it in about 1984 but not brand new. All one tone green.

Had a good few Vauxhalls myself, and i can still remember my old Mk2 Cavalier SRI. Now that was a beast, still a 1.8 but the engine was from a rally Nova. Lets just say the police was very very nice at 2 o'clock in the morning and me doing 132mph, the cop couldn't believe the speed of an old Vax and let me go with a warning.
