'Jane, Thumper & Vera' East Kirkby 14/9/14

A brilliant day out at the 'Lincolnshire Aviation Centre' today.

Never been before, although have driven past it several times over the years.

I will be definitely be returning as there is so much to see, especially the museum with all the aviation artefacts that have been collected from all over Lincolnshire.

I will post picks when I have had a look through what I managed to eventually take. No thanks to an ignorant, bad mannered photographer who thought his photo's were more important than those he pushed in front of.

Having arrived early I did the usual walk round, got some shots of 'Jane' doing her taxi routine then got a drink & eats.

Having spoken with one of the ground crew about which direction 'Thumper & Vera' would be coming from, I picked what I thought would be a good spot. Got sat down and checked my gear over while waiting for the fly-past, that would be in about an hour and a half. Watched the large R/C model plane display ( very Talented flyers & excellent models) that was very good, especially with the gusting winds down the flying field.

As the flying ladies appeared on the horizon, I stood up only for some pr*tt with a mini video camera to push through in front of me. I asked what he thought he was playing at and he just glowered at me and carried on filming. Had it not been for the fact there were kiddies around, and an altercation would have spoiled it for others, I just took what pics I could with the restricted view left to me.

After the main event had finished, I was going to give him a piece of my mind, but he had scuttled off before I got the chance.

    Hopefully post other pics tomorrow.

Wanted to go myself but couldn't make it. Had a good view of Vera & Thumper as they fly low over my house on their way back to Coningsby.
