Thing is Al, even if its the software etc you cannot use the phone in its total intent-which is what it is: a phone, music player, web-broswer, emails etc. If one part of that fails and they cannot fix it then the phone is not fit for use, despite how old it is-therefore they need to be informed and youwant money back as you cannot use it for what you want it to.Si
Thing is both my phone and iPad work fine , only thing is photos to sites like this and I doubt that would constitute unfit for purpose mate

Apple have admitted that there is a bug. This is a first for Apple: admitting and apologising. Normally, over the 18 years that I have had an Apple computer, they ignore bug reports, even serious, longstanding and widespread ones. It seems that this one is so serious that they have forced themselves to start working on it immediately.
By the way, my daughter who is in a sort of IT job, told us yesterday that those in the know advise not buying anything over the Internet this weekend because of a virus. My paper today mentions a general virus which exploits a loophole in the basic systems used by computers, which attacks a file called "Bash", allowing access to peoples' computers.
