    Vera, the Canadian Lancaster.

VR-A has landed at Reykjavik (15:47) on her way home. I just wondered how many of us aircraft type people actually managed to see her this summer.

I made it to the 3 Lancs meeting at East Kirkby. This was the scheduled second event, which actually turned out to be the first event, due to Vera popping an engine and cancelling the first event.

So, where did you see the two (or maybe 3 Lancasters) ?

I was lucky as I work about a couple of miles from Conningsby so I have seen her and Thumper quite a few times. Living in Woodhall Spa has it's advantages as they seem to fly over almost everytime they come back from an event. I saw Vera the day she arrived and saw her today when she left.

I saw them at Southend Airport.I was at work at the time and they parked up about 100 yards from our hanger.I was wearing a high vis jacket and thought I would chance my luck and walk over to them.Nobody tried to stop me and I spent half an hour walking around them taking photo's.

Those that did get the chance to see the two fly together are the lucky ones. Unfortunately they didn't come far enough southwest for us over here.

So as not to fill this thread up with too many piccies.

I have made an album in the galleries section, of my day out at 'East Kirkby 3 Lancasters Day'

What a great day it was too!

Or just post your favourites here anyway. Great to see a few of us had the opportunity to see the Two (three) Lancs. Dawlish looks great, any more pics ?

I did get a few dodgy videos of the pair flying over Just Jane, but at 30 something Mb I can't post them here.
