          You could always use the dishwasher Alan if you can't get your IPA

            Very similar here.

            I once had some resin (and I can't remember from where) that simply could not be properly cleaned. This was nothing to do with a release agent but rather the rein itself. I chucked it in the end ):

              Had this issue too Steve, a Sci-Fi piece, the resin itself seemed to leach out something and the various cleaning, even tried petrol, engine degreaser, IPA, meths, washing up liquid, even tried a water-downed PVA coat...all to do avail. Primer coats seemed to have grease or oil patches that reacted with the paint. Gave up and passed it on to somebody else.

                    When I returned to modelling nearly 2 years ago I thought it was the beer, and wondered what it could possibly be used for. Duh!

                      That IPA is for the times when you get bits falling off your models and need to sit back and think about how to fix them! :P
