Neat. Like the pull out tray idea very much.

On the trays they are cheap. The slides were below £3 per set. The tray a bit of conti board. Plus a bit of 2" by !" timber support for fixing to the u/s bench then the slides are fixed to the 2" by 1".

Even a model maker could construct these

Love your workshop. Also very envious. The pull out trays look very operating theatre like. Must be great to have everything at hand intead of rummaging about for stuff like me (limited space).

Wonderful, Laurie. I can see you like to be well organised! It's good to see the completed builds there too - that's one nice Swordfish diorama. I also enjoyed Moni's very 'artistic' take on the workspace too - we're all different

Beautiful work space, super organized. Looks ready to build models OR perform an autopsy

I really like how you made use of the turntables.

              WOW, Laurie!!

I thought I was looking at an operating room for a moment!!

That is an impressive layout you have, double thumbs up!!

My work space is in the garage, so it gets a bit chilly during winter......o_O

So, I guess I'm a tad green with envy.

That is neater than James May's tool box!

I rather like those draw/tray jobbies. So going to have some of those in den 2.0

What and violate my patent Ian.

Actually got the idea from the optician. They have those pull out trays with optics ( not gin ones). They have proved their worth as it is so each to locate tools and for instance files pick the right one.

Sorry missed this Gavin. i used to work in a garage at the last plce. Not sure what type of garage door you have. Mine was a firbregalss one. I got some polystyrene panels and stuck these to the garage door. Made quite a difference. Got to be careful as you are adding to the weight of the door when closing.

Wow Laurie what a great set up. Thinking of a few changes myself but it won't be as neat as that.

                      Thanks Barry.

It has paid great dividends. With all to hand it has made life so much easier. I can get on model making rather than searching for a tool or bottle of Mr Cement S.

Go for the trays as they make model making so much easier. Only cost about £15 for the five.

The turntables also work well. You only need to reach the front of the turntable to get a brush etc so they can be pushed to arms length which leaves more space on the work top.
