the new terminator film comes out next year and it looks like it's a revamp of the first terminator film

If you havnt seen the full trailer I'll not go into detail

I personally wanted to see the full war up to the point where they sent the first terminator back but it looks like we will have a new bunch of films to enjoy or not

Just watched the new trailer, seems to be a craze to reboot all the classics, I love Star Trek but not keen on the reboot version, its just too crisp and clean and I hated Cumberbatch as Khan, I don't rate him at all. Don't get me started on Dr Strange and the chance he may be the new sith lord

Other soon to be reboots, Fantastic Four, Batman, and even the remote chance Iron man, as RDJ agreed to sign for Avengers but so far hasn't for any more Iron man films

This is the problem today they are running out of ideas , take the star trek films although they were good imo they weren't Star Trek ! The names were there , the ships were there but personalities weren't , I liked cumberbach as Khan but he wasn't ricado mantalban and this is what lets the films down

I liked the first iron man film but thought the sequels just dragged it out and there was no kneed for them

Some things are better left alone for me the 1st terminator film was amazing in its day and is now a classic and all sequels in my opinion are never as good as the 1st instalment of anything. Alien Jaws Rocky Rambo Jurassic Park to name a few.As you say they are running out of new ideas that's why they have to redo old films but for younger people than ourselves this remake will be their original.Thats the trouble with getting older sometimes things repeat themselves repeat themselves.Planet of the apes I have now watched the two latest versions of this and although I did enjoy them for me you can't beat the originals with Charlton Heston and the TV series I will never forget the Statue of Liberty at the end of the film how desperate would that make you feel. The next blockbuster might be just around the corner hopefully some genius will come up with something groundbreaking and interesting or out of this world. But we have been totally spoilt in recent years I think as there have been some really great movies over the last 30/40 years

only herd about the remark will keep an eye out for the trailers, and must agree with John,

some times the 1st mark is the best, but if they only use that as a guild,it dose workout to be a

          good movie,o_O

Totally agree mate , what I do find strange are the amount of remakes that aren't as good as the first , take planet of the apes , visually stunning and enjoyable but lacking in story and mood , my son has watched both and he said how is it possible to make to similar films over fourty years apart and the origional one be a better film ?

I told him that special affects have made story tellers lazy

I think you have hit the nail on the head, if you look at "new" films as well there is a tendency for flashy special effects over good storylines.

does not apply to all things though, i thought the new battlestar galactica was much better than the original, but loved them both.

The new series was too in depth on emotional feelings and deep story lines, and Baltar having sex with a figment of his imagination was just ludicrous. Guess I just enjoyed the original for the battles and simple plots Having said that to see the Galactica entering the planet whilst launching Vipers was amazing

Alan, never got it Fringe, though I may try and get a boxset in the sales and give it another go.

you know I thought exactly the same about fringe after I saw the first series but one evening flicking through the channels something caught my eye I didn't even realise it was fringe until a break came up and that was it I was hooked and whent and got the first two series and now it's my second favourite

On baltar and the ghost , there is a big kicker on that story line and it gets revealed later
