    XMAS GRUB IS NEARLY DONE!

Well the turkey has been massaged, skin sliced and smoked bacon added, a whole halfed orange has been stuffed into it-to help with flavour and keep moist and it has had the juice from a fresh orange mixed with a touch of salt and pepper and then paprika brushed on top. This is all cooked and smells lovely, it will sit now and rest.

There is also a joint of beef slowly cooking in some beef stock and fine chopped onion-this will used towards the gravy. Once cooked it swill sit with the turkey until tomorrow.

Also the base of the trifle is made.

    CAN'T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW!

    Si

So for those of us working through Christmas day this is supposed to make us feel better?

I can't even drink too much.

It is indeed Si. I love it. First time I made one and the wife said it was really good.

                  Easy to make as well

Serves with Cherry sauce, bought that though

Cheese sandwich this year, very thin cheese. Although I have been told I can have a level teaspoon of Branston Pickle.

I will probably survive God willing. Water as well ,un-restricted, although as a treat I am being allowed to look at the label on an empty bottle of wine.
