    Pictures from the 2005 Expo

Here are just a few pictures from the 2005 expo at the NEC. Having never been to any form of model show before it was all new territory.

First was the easy parking, and no fight to get to disabled parking, anyone who's been to crufts, will know what I mean. The show was smaller than I expected, but all forms of RC were covered in one way or another. I think Ships and Boats were most numerous, I had used up all my disks for the camera by dinner time.

You had all kinds of demonstrations, planes, electric and petrol, helicopters, Bikes (never knew they existed) Big 1/6th stock cars, who just wrecked the circuit, so big and powerful, small petrol cars, electric cars, Tanks, 1/6th, 1/8th, 1/16th. indoor planes, indoor petrol off road, But didn't get to see much of because of been in a chair. indoor electric cars, Trains Big and small with really big track set ups, Never knew you could get so many sizes. hover craft, subs, lorries.

You may wonder why I mentioned most of th types, not all, but most, its because I never knew the fantastic range of models and types there is and if I didn't, others might not.

The big trucks look as if they are the Tamiya R/C ones. is that so?

Yes, although the pictures shown were on a club stall, Tamiya had a small area were you could try driving a 1/14th Tractor truck, Knight Hauler, semi trailer (the intercontinental Express) if you touched the truck while running, it vibrated like it had a powerful engine underneath. with air horns lights. When the expert showed the trucks moves, he made it look as easy as falling over.
