I've been invited to a very good friends house for negotiations on acquiring his stash tools paints etc he hasn't touched a model in 4 years and as finally decided to let everything go and he as suggested they are all mine for a token payment he mentioned he as 30+ kits so hopefully I will be coming home with everything warts n all.Thankfully the wife's at work tomorrow so these can be put into the loft without ww3 breaking out just keep the guard happy with a small bribe(my youngest son) I have a six hour window of opportunity to complete the mission if I choose to accept it .more later...............If I don't repost in the next 24 hours then sadly I've been caught in the act and hung out to dry

They are not as clever as they make out, a couple of months ago I bought myself a fishing reel with some cash I was gifted by my parents an early xmas pressie on walking out of the tackle shop something caught my eye a vision in open weave carbon 13' of silky black gorgeousness this siren drew me in and yes I held her in my arms for a momentops:. I went home but the sirens song was strong and a couple of days later she resides with me, the cost?....that's between me and the tackle shop owner.

I was so chuffed I even told like minded folk via facebook of my new purchase for all to see so I thought, sitting at home recovering from the seasons excesses I mentioned to the good lady I may take the new rod for an outing........"new rod!! you have a NEW ROD!!??" no no my sweetness I meant new to me Tris at work leant it to me to try "oh that's ok then ha I thought you meant u'd spent a fortune on a new one" ha don't be silly where would I get that kind of money.

even to this day she is none the wiser.

Right the coast is clear wife just left the building getaway van ready mission begins model dealer not responding must have been on a bender last night and now suffering a massive hangover.This makes me think is this the reason for selling his stash Saturday night binge drinking.Not being one to take advantage of vulnerable drunks going to give him another 10 mins before I drive over there knock him up and acquire the goods while his heads still fuzzy might get them for a better price.I will be in and out like a mini tornado hit em hard n fast I say mission debriefing to follow................Thanks John

2 hours in.... not knowing details whether our erstwhile hero had time to negotiate and recover said stash or has he even got there yet? Our hero has gone with the less that people know, the less there is to give away.

tick, tock, tick, tock - slowly the second hand sweeps round ready to call time on this dangerous and tricky mission - will the patsy be awake and delay the recovery, worse,has the arch villain (SWMBO) already cottoned on and even now is swooping to catch our hero in the act, models in hand being put in to the van, as he slams the door and jumps in the drivers seat, she is there "going somewhere dear?"

Will the guard be swayed anyway with sweets and kisses, "mummy, daddy said I'm not to tell you what he put in the attic....."

Only time will tell, nervously we await for further updates....

Well after not being able to make contact with the drunken model dealer I had to act on my window of opportunity so after driving 10.5 miles to the dealers den I presumed I would be able to kick his back doors in and raise his attention. Wrong after knocking on the door until my my knuckles were bleeding it soon became apparent there was nobody home. Numerous phone calls later still no answer I tried to contact the model dealer through other forms of social media and after sitting outside his house for an hour in a cold van i decided sadly it was time to abort the mission for now.But I promise once contact as been made and the seller returns to the land of the living and the real I will be back on the case.if you at 1st don't succeed then try try try try try try try try try try................again..............more later I'm not giving up I'm like a dog with a bone

Ok after a initial epic fail at the 1st attempt of my mission I can happy report there's been a partial success in acquiring the "models". I've taken all the ones from the house and brought them home but as my friend was feeling a little delicate from his party antics from the night before it was in the interests of his sanity and well being that it was decided to retrieve the ones from his shed at a later date as it was to cold for him to go outside.the remainder will be acquired within the week.all models to be posted in latest acquisitions thanks for your comments and interest cheers John mission partially completed

Incidentally, that case looks interesting, are it's contents more tools and paints and stuff?
