Okay, my experience here is a loss of a few things, like the ability to add emojis and text formatting. Plus 'Like' etc. A lot of buttons just show '?' for me now
Of course this IS because I'm usually on the PS4, and that doesn't like a lot of little things on teh intraweb. Still, our 'new' PC seems to actuallly go online now... (can't find my sig pic yet tho'...)

One thing is I've only just noticed the 'get thread updates' button, whereas before you just had to reply to a thread to keep getting it. Usually

Kind of like the 'in post' comment function

The sig thing is a bit hard to find, top right click on your username/user settings/account tab scroll down to Conversation Detail Options, you will see edit signature.

To quickly add emoji's click on the smille face top right of quick reply box and it will bring them up, or if you are using a phone you can use all the emoji's on your phone

Cheers John, buuut... On this PS4, the emojis box is just a lot of '?' symbols. It's the graphic interface on web access. Also, I don't have a smartphone. Or any kind of mobile. Not until the landlines go!
What I meant is, I can't find the scan of my original sig pic in our files. Not sure where my original drawing went either
Not that we've a scanner that works now either

What do you mean 'come join us in tge twenty-first century?' Not without flying cars and moonbases!

That will be in user settings > notifications. You can set it (if it isn't already) to subscribe automatically when you post. Using the button you mention is so you can subscribe without actually replying, should you wish 😊

The car comparison is very true. Just bought a Lexus 300 Hybrid. Totally different to the Alfa, especially keeping it in electric mode. 74mpg!

Well I don't really have a problem with the header, bit 'if' it would help to make people feel 'more at home' (like the previous site) then perhaps you could make it blue again?

I tried a few things based on an old print-screen I still had on my hard-drive, I don't want to push anything, also you can NEVER make it good for EVERYONE's taste. Would also understand after all those years you might want to get rid of the blue setting, so in that case just ignore this post lol. cheers

I've made the header not as deep, I think it looks better, also the SMS logo smaller, I kept clicking on that by mistake, I am happy to use another colour if needed

I probably misunderstood the word 'header' for 'banner' or something, happens sometimes as my English is rather poor to be honest, my mistake, didn't want to create any confusion...

There are 3 themes so people have a choice, I've been making a few subtle changes to the blue yellow theme, there was too much white and the header banner was too big, hopefully it looks a bit better now

Thanks John, I especially like the smaller font size of the default style since I'm using a phone (have to scroll less with a small font) cheers

It looks fine John, as do the grey borders. The huge amount of white was a bit overwhelming, especially on a widescreen monitor.

I've changed the default theme to the default theme, it was only default in name

If you like the larger font then select the Blue Yellow theme, either from the drop down at the bottom of the page or change it in your settings to it's always default for you

I've just picked a new van up for work. 7 miles on the clock, all very nice, then I saw the auto gearbox ! An automatic van with a digital dashboard. I am used to analogue and manual, did I make a fuss, hell no.
