    GOING BACK TO MODELS.

I am one for going back to models and...well tinkering. The Peterbuilt truck dio is one I am faffing with at the moment, adding some items etc.

So, do any of you guys go back to dios, or even static models and add stuff?

I currently have 3 models on the go the one nearest completion to the painting stage is Tamiya's churchill crocodile with the addition of the eduard pe set and a couple of other extras, the pe set has pushed me close to my limits so I have taken regular breaks, I then do some of the simpler tasks on the other 2 models, I have found it the only way I can keep my sanity.

              NO NEVER.

The past is done. The future provides something hidden, something new, something positive excitement and a step forward into the unknown.

When I am getting towards the end of a project my mind strays to the next. I have always finished every project before starting the next. I know I would never look or go back.

I find the future so exciting. It is rare for me to repeat something which is in the past. I am always trying something new. I just can not wait for the news something new.

Which ever part of this world your mind wanders to the future is excitement. There can be no excitement in the past as you know what has happened it is dead. The future tests your imagination your thoughts for the future.

Dwell on the past and you will miss the future.

I have done the odd repaint on some of my earlier armour models- Some have gotten weathered some time after but generally not a thing I do all the time.

nope.....once its done im normally ready to move on and forget and never return

however when they get old and not wanted any more they become recyclable, sometimes get bashed into something else

I always finish something and then a day or two later look at it and think theres more that needs to be done to it. Ive had ones that Ive went overboard with thinking they needed more something, then wished I had left them alone. I just always think my stuff could be better when I look at it. So yea I constantly go back to things.

Usually I'm so ready to be done with the kit that I rarely go back unless I've totally botched something, then I'll go back and tinker with it.

Not me Si ......... As far as I'm concerned. When they're done they're done........... I don't keep many anyway. I usually give them away........ My grandkids are too young to appreciate them....... But my mate's son has several of mine on a shelf in his bedroom.

I'm another one who, once a model's finished, has no interest in tinkering with it. It's a struggle even to go back and make a minor repair. To be honest there really doesn't seem much scope to revisit an aircraft model anyway, although I can see why someone might want to further weather a tank or add more elements to a diorama after it's finished. But I agree with Laurie, much more interested in the next project than any previous ones.
