Damaged box shop from SMS - frankly, the ‘damage’ is cosmetic, but I’m not complaining:

So since the harrier and f104 has got me interested again in 'not usually shaped' aircraft i saw this reduced to 16 squids in my local model shop..... And they dont come much more lumpy not normal shaped than an A10

Ok chaps, so as you may be aware if you follow the UK's Tank Museum, back in May, they announced that they would be publishing a book on the A34 Comet - a favourite of mine.

I pre-ordered it at the time and it arrived on Friday. I've not had a chance to look at properly but the initial inspection is promising. A nice quality hardback with a lot of information, including a bit of background on the British Cruiser doctrine, as well as "over 300 photographs and illustrations". It also includes info on those that served with foreign powers once we were done with them and Cold War trials using spare hulls.

Oh and as someone who pre-ordered it, I got a full third off the RRP!! Furthermore, because I ordered before mid-June my name is preserved in the back, for the rest of time, as someone who supported the publication.

Below are a few taster shots, in case you are thinking of getting it.

    ATB

    Andrew

There are a two of the three pages of people like me that helped with a pre-order....
