OK chaps, so completely essential purchases that have arrived in the last few weeks!

    Hope you enjoy!!

    -------------------------------

So as I'm working on a US Corsair, I thought it would be rude not to get a Brit one, after all we took about 1/6 of all produced!!!

Ours had slightly clipped wings to fit in the hangers. As far as I know the Revell kit is the only Brit version out there at this scale. Thanks to some odd eBay discounts at checkout and on postage, I picked it up for less than £10

Thanks to special offer with a national chain of hobby stores, managed to pick this pair up for about 25% off the 'usual' new price. Not a modern jet man but have to love a Harrier, especially given their achievements in the Falkdlands. Been looking at the 88 kit for while and whilst it's an old kit, it has a lot of plastic in there and I was surprised how heavy the box was.

This took my fancy when it popped up on eBay and for a very good price too....at least 10% cheaper than the next best and 25% cheaper than most others.

Have often wondered getting clamps and these popped up on a well known Chinese site. Very impressed at first look...metal bar so no bending and not a ratchet type system (not sure what it is though) and so can make very small adjustments with the hand 'trigger' (fractions of mm)....and all 5 cost less than £8.

This also popped up on the same site for about 2/3 of the normal UK price. Reviews are very good, as are my first impressions. Metal barrel, 3d printed parts and they've even come up with a sensible approach in terms of the modeller not having to worry about lots of individual road wheels, as you'll hopefully see.

First up is a nice AFV Scorpion tank, been after one of these for a while, in my Yoof I had many Action Men and also had lots of accessories, including a large Scorpion Tank, and have always wanted to build a nice model of one, this one includes a metal gun barrel and a few bits of photo etch to add a bit of details, and various decal / paint schemes....so here it is....

Second up was a Lanc, I built one as a nipper and butchered it, but it hung proudly from my ceiling anyway for many years. But now I'm back into it "proper" so to speak, I want to build another one and try to do it justice, so I juts went for a bog standard Airfix 1:72 Dambusters one.

Had a delivery from John (SMS) thanx mate...
Few bits, a couple of new paint brushes, another tiny ship (USS Enterpise 1:1200 scale), and some drill bits.
Also got a photo etch set for my yet to be built, Tamiya Bren Gun Carrier in 1:35 scale, to add a bit of detail.

    Surprisingly heavy.
It'll have to wait until I've finished the Gnat though.

Yep, I'll see a lawyer tomorrow and get my tank stash exempt from any settlement negotiations! Ha!

Arrived today, I've been after a now discontinued 70's era Tamiya M3 Lee as preferred by 'Platz' in their offering of 'Rabbit Team' Girls & Panzer M3 kit, but the ones I can find are ruinously expensive so this 'I❤️Kit' M3 Lee is the right type and version plus arguably a better kit and half the price! Also managed to get the Mr Color paints Platz recommended for the St Gloriana crew for the Churchill which I'll be assembling at the weekend

(Sorry John, I tried to order from your shop but the all important C100 'Wine Red' for the girls smart tunics is 'out of stock' in your excellent online shop)
