    Timed out- Wiped out too!

Due to being timed out and having to type in my password again, I've just lost a whole heap of my thread.
It has happened to other members too.

Can this bit of nonsense be removed?

I don't want to have to rush my posts. If it has to remain, I seriously think I won't will be able to cope with any clock watching. It's bad enough having the short editing function.

i haven't the time to write any longer as I might well get timed out once more!

    This is just plain daft.......

Make sure you tick the "Remember me" box under the password box when you login, otherwise you get booted out after a ridiculously short time - as you have found. Ask me how I know.....

This is strange, as I type, I see the 'auto save' flash up once in a while, so even though I've never timed out, if I walk away, everything is saved anyway.

I've not timed out, but I'm suddenly having to log in every time I visit, despite checking the 'Remember Me' box. I'd assumed it was just me having the problem until now.

It happens to me too. Often when I just change menus and check on today's posts I have to log in again. Very irritating, but I've never lost a post I'm writing to be fair

I can’t remember the last time I had to login, try to clear your browser cache, make sure you check the remember me box, and probably the most important one is make sure you are still not using scale-models.co.uk although it will redirect to scalemodelling.co.uk it might cause the issue you’re having.

Not happened before this week, and didn't have to log in before that.

The only think I can think of is when I moved the site to the new server last week it cleared sessions, hopefully it will be ok now

I’ve changed the period of inactivity to 30 minutes, although the remember me box should override this and keep you logged in

Seems to me there is still summat wrong somewhere, somehow.........

All this didn't happen a while back, seems quite recent....and it seems, not just to the odd one or two members.

I just experienced it in my Vintage Airfix thread. I've not had issues before, but I was typing and adding photos, clicked 'post thread'... nothing. I was now logged out. Nor did it keep any of my draft. Speaking of which, is there a 'Save Draft' option? Because that would be useful if we get booted off mid-stream. Frustrating, but there's surely a fix.
