Agreed...the tanks and vehicles were top notch.
I had the same thoughts when the grenade was dropped in. I was expecting a rather large "kabooooom"...but only heard a dull thud, and then expecting the inside of the tank to be decorated with various shades of red and flesh...only to see some tiny marks on Mr Pitt

I find it very hard to believe that even with limited battle harden troops...3-4 Tiger's, various anti tank weapons and an SS battalion etc....that the Germans seemed to be portrayed as a rather useless fighting force.
No kidding! I think I even saw some panzerfaust or panzerschrek in the German column, but I can't be sure as my mind had been numbed by the preceding hour and a half

Think Humphrey Bogart would have been better pick, too bad we're 50 years late with him! does any one remember original "Sahara" circa 1943? "Grant" tank given it's first good look at by American public then.
