Anyone into online gaming - GT6 trailer 2 just dropped.
Currently play on PS4.
I used to do a lot of PC gaming, mainly racing sims, I used to build a new gaming pc every year or so, but it got so expensive that I switched to consoles.
I also used to collect gaming consoles, at one point I had pretty much every gaming console ever released in the UK (almost), complete, working and boxed, going back to the Atari 2600.
When sim racing I had a full cockpit setup, eg: fully adjustable driving chair and frame, steering wheel, pedals, gear lever, etc. But then I fell down the stair at home and injured my back (Coccyx) and from then on, I could not sit in the sim for more than about 15 minutes. NB: my back is much better now, this was few years back!
After a while I sold the setup, still regret it, should have kept it.... [Doh!]
I have played most of the GTA games, and I've completed GATV three times, once on Playstation3, then on an XBox, then again on the PS4.
I really love the "open World" aspect, where you can go anywhere and do anything.
Also really really like rockstar's other great game, Red Dead Redemption (1 and 2), another great open world game....
I have a Steamdeck and Rog Ally X, for handheld consoles they are really good, I was waiting for Sniper elite 6 to come out, I've completed the others more times than I can think of, 6 finally came out, I think I did 3 levels and totally lost interest in playing games, but I've never been one for playing online, don't like being best by 8 year old kids 😂
I had a Retron5 multi gaming setup too, that was cool, would take all the different console cartridges, but..... the controller it came with was cr*p!
Yep, I started on a 16k Speccy, (around 1980 ish?) then the 48k, learnt to program (BASIC only) then moved on from there.
As you say Mike, keeping pc's up to gaming spec is hard work, constantly updating, compatibility issues, OS issues, driver issues, plus I used to overclock my pc's too, (this is before water cooling) and I had to keep the PC case side off sometimes, with a desk fan pointed at it, cos they would get too hot! Lol.
I also remember early days of pc gaming, before windoze, DOS 6.1/6.2, etc, editing the config.sys file and autexec.bat files to get games to run, loading memhigh, extended mem commends, etc.
Also ran a few emulators in my time, eg: Mame etc. Loved my gaming.....
I still have a ZX Spectrum and ZX81 framed on my study wall, along with a framed Gameboy....yes, I am a gaming geek! 8-)

RDR and RDR2 were faves of mine, love those huge open World games and the fact you can juts roam around exploring.
TBH, I'm still finding new stuff in GTAV, even after 12 years.....
