    Too bloody hot!!!

Its too hot for me to do any model making at the moment, sadly.
I bloody hate the very hot weather. Give me cooler weather any day of the week.
My model making area is the smallest bedroom upstairs, and in our house, upstairs gets hotter than downstairs.
The bedroom has a window, and I have a fan, but it just does not get cool at all, so its uncomfortable (for me).
So, I've put the model making on hold until it cools down a bit.
Yes, I could move some bits downstairs but the Wife likes the fact its all out of her way, so would not appreciate me moving it all, plus I now have quite a bit of kit, so it would be a faff TBH, so IMHO its just not worth the effort, so its staying where it is.
Luckily its only a few days out of the year when it gets this hot (in Sunny Kent) so its not for very long.
Currently sat downstairs with our portable air con unit on, and its lovely and cool.

I'm with you on this one Peter. Luckily living in the UK, it won't be long before it cools down for us.

Fortunately at work it’s quite cool, no aircon just an old Victorian mill with walls that are 4ft thick, downside is it’s really cold in the winter. 🥶

Got a couple of bits that need priming, but I fear it might dry instantly on the airbrush tip.
Took the car for an MOT today, told them I'd wait and no rush.
Refreshments, air con and toilets in the Toyota dealers where I take it and all good, it sailed through.
Car display showed 31C when I drove home at about 12.45, gets hot here in Cambridgeshire

                I like it hot ☀️

It will soon be grey and drizzly so I’m happy to enjoy the weather while it lasts.

                Geoff.

Change at end of the week. But gardens need a good drink,Our flat gets sooo hot and when i retired to bedlam last night it was over 27 at 11.45.Feel sorry for our fluffy friend but we got him a rechargeable little fan which blows over his floofy parts. And to think i used to be a postie out in it from 1987 till 2010.We were delivering from 10 onwards as the heat rose but them days i was a lot younger and fitter.Did think about starting a kit but bit too sticky to stsrt using scalpels etc.As i write this at 7.50a.m its 25 in our flat. Its been a long spell of good weather since May.Think the old global warming has to be a factor. How the tennis fans stick it at Wimbledon god only knows.

Yes they never learn. All self self and bugger the rest,Like at Glastonbury where so many supposedly are Green yet the place looks a right shite hole at the end.I know a few who retired to Spain and sometimes wish not.Guess we will have to get used to it with global warming or as one of the God squad was preaching in town its Gods punishment as old Beezelbub is stoking the fires,Ooooh errrr.

I saw the photos of Glastonbury and the state of the place was disgusting. Coupled with the appalling sentiments expressed by one or two of the acts it makes me wonder if the whole festival needs a rethink, even cancellation.

Ever seen a beach when the day trippers leave Jim? Far worse than Glastonbury. Bournemouth picked up a child’s mattress off of theirs last year……. As to the sentiments, never heard them, and probably wouldn’t have even known about them if certain aspects of the media hadn’t decided to use it as a stick to beat the BBC with…..bet if it had been said about the Russians in Ukraine nobody would have raised a whisper.

I don't mind the heat BUT, our milkman, for some odd reason, delivers between 2200 and 2300ish (I think he must have a day job or something) which means, if I don't get it in before going off to bed, it sits there all night in the lovely warm night air until I get up around 0600.
                              Yuk...

We've just (literally today) signed up for a "Milk & More" account, (eg: basically what was the old Milkman) and they sell insulated bags or you can use your own, luckily we have our own, or a cool box / bag would also do? Quick note to ask the milkman to leave said items in cool bag, job done... 8-)
