    Still here

Just checking in as my modelling has virtually ground to a halt due to selling the house. I have done a couple of miniatures but that'd about it. After changing estate agents in September we finally started getting people through the door but things aren't great in the housing market especially with the forthcoming budget. Our new estate agent has been amazing and we now have a buyer, we also have had an offer accepted on our next home ( even has a modelling room). As anyone who has been in our position will know it can be a little stressful, our proposed new home is currently empty as the previous occupant was in a nursing home and it was being sold to help fund that. As we and our buyers were getting on with the business in hand with solicitors and surveyors etc we received the news on Monday that the lady had sadly passed away which has thrown a minor (hopefully) spanner in the works as probate will have to be sorted. As my retirement is rapidly approaching in March we would have liked all this sorted by then but we shall see. I do keep dropping in a watching the amazing work that goes on in this forum and hope to resume normal service in the not too distant future.

Nice to hear from you Mick. Selling and buying a house is always stressful and the current climate is making things worse. Factor in probate and that adds another issue to sort out. I hope things go ok for you.

Aah, good luck with all this, Mick.

I sympathise as I'm in a similar position. We've just taken our house off the market after having only two viewings in several months. We're going to relaunch it in early January when hopefully the Budget and Xmas disruption will be over. At the same time we've got major buildimg works underway on our future home several hundred miles away.

As you say, all rather stressful - I'm just trying to keep my eyes on the prize, and telling myself it'll all be over by this time next year (fingers firmly crossed!)

many thanks gents for your messages. My pile of figures waiting a visit from the paint brush has slowly grown which will be soon hopefully. My wife has been waiting just over a year for an op and was contacted by our local hospital to get her in for a pre op assessment on the 23rd of December which should mean the op withing 2 weeks. Perfect timing as she will be out of action for 6 weeks at the start of the new year. Just to keep the stress levels going Monty the field mouse has decided to visit us and gnaw his way through various items under the sink, sorry little pal but your days are numbered
