    Handy little storage tubs

I've been re arranging my model making area / desk, etc.
Its slowly gotten bigger, so added a few new Hobbyzone storage cubes, etc but I also had lots of "stuff" scattered about the whole area, bits of sprue, scenery materials, stones, gravel, static grass, ground cover scatter materials, various foilage type materials, bits of old kits, bits of balsa, plastic, etc, etc.

I had a lot of it in three large storage trays, I think they were old takeaway tubs that I had previously cleaned and used, but were a bit too big for the desk area and also had lots of different stuff in the same containers, so not that well organised.
So I decided to get some smaller containers and separate stuff out into different tubs.

Found some (via Amazon) that were the perfect size for the Hobbyzone cubes/storage shelves.
They are basically 0.5L (500ml) tubs, with lids, and from memory are about 10cm x 10cn by about 7cm tall, I can get four of them into one Hobbyzone unit.
They come in packs of 5, and I ended up getting two lots, so 10 tubs in all. I wanted lids as a lot of the materials I have are loose stuff, for scenery, etc, sand, little stones, ground scatter materials, etc.

After using these I now have a much better organised model making area, taking up less space overall, with various materials in their own little tubs, not all mixed in with other materials. These tubs can be easily labelled / marked with a Sharpie type pen too, to easily find what you are looking for.

I can therefore recommend these little tubs, I'm sure others are available form other suppliers, but you get the general jist.... Cheers

I use the ones you get with Chinese takeaways and the ones my local chippie uses for sauces etc. They come in various shapes and sizes from the different shops and best thing is - they're free!

Yep, I know there's prolly cheaper options. Unfortunately for the last year, I have not really had any takeaways due to trying to lose a fair bit of weight and following a fairly strict, but much healthier diet, so don't get takeaway containers anymore, Lol....

I did look (only quickly) at takeaway cartons, but the ones I saw were all too big for what I wanted. A lot of them are 750ml or 1000ml, the ones I have are 500ml and just the right size and shape, (I wanted a more square container, rather than rectangular) for the shelving/storage cubes that I use, so were the perfect fit, shape and size (for me).
