Yeah mate, heard there is 350 kph winds hitting Vanuatu at present. It is as big as you can get on the scaling at 5. It's very humid here at present, but clear and nice otherwise. Pam is forcasted to track east of the North Island, dealing a weather situation to the upper North Island On Monday morning for a few days. East Coasters will be battening down the hatches, they're going to cop the worst of it.

I'm rostered to fly Monday, should make for an interesting day. Aaron might get wet too, but he's likely to be a lot less coastal in the Tron

Had to wet store our job for the cyclone in Australia a couple of years ago, ended up skirting round it for a good few days while most others went to the nearest port. Was an interesting few days On a smaller vessel.

We moved to Huntly last year Joe and I'm way up on a hill just a little worried about the wind, my Palm trees will get the trim they need though.

When I worked at sea, whilst I understood the reason, I always found it a bit amusing that should a big storm be forecast to make landfall at our location, we would set sail and spend the next few days roughing it up at sea.
