I hope I've posted this in the right place, apologies if I've not.
I have just opened the box looked at the parts and put it back away.
The kit in question is the Aston Martin DBS No 24316.
75% of the parts have strange lines in the plastic, I tried to take some pictures but the macro on my camera doesn't work,
The best way I can describe them is if you were to pour two different coloured paints next to each other you would get a line where the two colours meet, or sometimes when you get low spots on a panel it looks darker, well these are like that but I can't feel them like you would a low spot.
Also on the main body shell as well as these lines there are 4 areas of sharp edged raised plastic, again to describe these I would say if you were to paint too thick along some masking tape there would be a ridge in the paint when you remove the tape,
I'm not too worried about those ones because they will sand out easily enough, the others though I'm concerned will affect the paint finish, I was going to use Alclsd 2 Candy base and top coat but as these are supposed to be painted directly to clean bare plastic I'm worried all these marks will have an effect on the paint.
Has anyone had any problems like this before? and any suggestions on how I should deal with it?
Thanks,
Paul...
