Panther D,A,G Why?

Hi all,

Can some tell me why the Panther type order is D, A, G?

Ausf. D 842 1/43 to 9/43Ausf. A 2,192 8/43 to 6/44Ausf. G 2,953 3/44 to 4/45

I just don't get why D first then A and final G. After that it continues to F
