Hi all, a little story for you. When i was a kid i could roller skate, i did it every weekend until i was 16 or something. Loved it, but just did it to keep in shape and thats all. Now, my daughter needed something to keep fit while at university and has decided to take up roller derby (yeah, roller derby thats what i thought!!) well, shes at home for a few weeks now. On Monday she was going to the park to get some practise in so me and Wendy went to watch and get out of the house for a bit, this is where it goe's down hill.
In her infinite wisdom she said "dad, do you want a go" and like a fool i said "yes", all of a sudden i'm a kid again and can roller skate. But in reality i'm going on 43 and 15 stone and i have wheels on my feet, not good. I stand up and set off, next minute i'm on my back side and in a lot of pain.

Not broken anything but boy, doe's it hurt. Moral of story, when you can do something as a kid doe's not mean you can now. It'll only end in tears.............
Have fun, John
