    Galactica base?

As I'm nearing the end of this build I'm in need of a base to hide a 9v battery in, has anyone any suggestions please?

The stand that the ship fixes to isn't deep enough to hide the battery.

Can you not add a nice bit of mitre edging around the base to raise it up a bit?

I agree with dougie, I'm doing a similar thing with my galactica but I'm putting it on a base that's sunken and having a flat top to hide all the wires and battery to its easy to just lift off and change when needed

        Sounds like a great idea

Mines already all wired up with the two main leads going down some brass tubing into the stand,

Just need some thing deep enough for the stand to sit on and big enough for a battery.

Could you mount the base on a rectangular block of wood. You could then hollow out a section under the base for the battery.

You could make a base out of MDF that is the same shape as the plastic base that flares out using the same angles......... and as Dave says "hollow out the middle".
