    My new custom wheels

Had a delivery of my new custom wheels today, I`ve finally decided to give in and have a wheel chair, it`s something I think once I got my mind around I knew it was going to have to happen, mind you though, it does come in a gloss black finish, spoked wheels and adjustable feet rests, so for a 50 year old it doesnt look bad

The wife and OT and physio`s kept on at me to give in and give the wheel chair a go,so from now on all of those twats that wouldn`t move out of my way when I was walking with my sticks, had better watch out now, I`m taking no prisoners

That looks cool tommy, so what's Theban you go a drop it, add some flared arches and a pokey exhaust, Matt or satin Finish, looks like you got the weathering just about right too

Seriously though I hope this aid helps you out mate and rest toes legs heh

    Regards

Thanks Robert, I was thinking of some go faster stripes, but the wife has got more adventurous designs, she wants a remote control adding to it, so I can nip off down to the shops.....forward thinking

Good for you mate. I use a stick and a scooter: Like you I don't like giving in, but you have to do what you have to do.

                  Death race anyone?

Definitely like your way of thinking Peter but I'd spend more time hosing the wheels of blood, pulling legs out of the rims

Sod it where can I order myself a set

Hi Si your not wrong mate, surprised how many modellers are in a similar predicament/situation.

All we need to do is find a good steep hill and we're all set for that race

Fluffy dice, spinning hub caps, skull handles on the ends of the arm rests, some plastic strips on the wheels so they make a noise when you rotate them through the spokes. No one could say they didn't see or hear you coming

It's not all bad. I've been in one of those fancy chairs for over ten years. They sure can give you many years of service and make your life a lot more enjoyable. I fought it it for years just as you have and looking back I wish I had given in sooner as the chair makes getting around more tenable. Good luck and keep at the posted speed.

I don't know about the fluffy dice Joe but the wife has already started to see what you can get for the chair.... including wheel disc`s, horn , but she went a little too far when she suggested those all in one thermal rain proof suits, they make you look as if you're wearing a gimp suit

Hi Ray thanks for that buddy, I think the reason I held off on the chair for a while was due to pride, but sense prevailed, and sometimes you have to give in and see that some things are there to help you.
