Si...the pirate! Arghhhhhhhhhh...me mateys.

As some you may know I also do cos-play...no, not the dressing in women's clothing...that's just for evening. I have a couple of Star-Trek costumes.

Me in the Commodore's dress uniform.

Me in the away-team film outfit.

    Me as the cyborg.

Well there will be a new outfit, and hopefully the last as I have no where to keep them.

    I am being a pirate.

No full pictures of me in the completed outfit yet, figured you good laugh yourself silly at the other pictures

But, I have worked on the swords that will go with my outfit-sprayed aluminium, then brassed, black oil wash, chrome green for verdigris effect and then some chrome added on the blades. The handles will be bound in real leather tape-when it arrives. The swords themselves are plastic, 'practice swords' that just come in black. I had some issues with the brass paint I used and need to touch up in places-maybe the heat as it was going off and tacky as I was painting.

Not sure that Pirates would have had long straight swords. To big and clumsy for close quarters on deck fighting. A short curved cutlass for hacking and slashing.....

            but they do look good.

My vote, once the pirate is finished, a Steampunk one!!!

A mechanical arm, strange glasses, a lovely hat....
