Not possible Joe I'm a brummy and we are the most honest people in the country , always expect to be told bluntly if your in the wrong
That is fine Alan provided that it can be excepted in return . Think your mini thesis on honesty may well be more than modestly challenged through out the United Kingdom and "Channel isles".o_O
Don't worry rob the Internet is a no go area for frank talking , I find it very cowardly to tell people what you think of them while hiding behind a computer screen
The danger, of course, is that sometimes we also allow rudeness to masquerade as being blunt.
I think generalising to the extent that we class older people and younger people as of similar mind sets can never have any credibility. I think we have to accept that there are good and bad in all nationalities, religions, sexes, races, ages etc. and take everyone as an individual.
There is one thing (well, perhaps three) that really annoy me and that is people who are unreasonable. They live in a different world and will not shift their view. I can put up with people who are stupid, or who don't agree with me on something that is so totally 100% right (my decision) or who don't like cats, but being unreasonable is very annoying - you can't reason with them!
I have to agree with you Alan isn't this how wars start ( views of what he or she does ) before you know it some jumped up fascists comes along and boom World War One World War Two, Korea, Suez, Vietnam etc etc etc
Then low and behold we come along years later and make models of these wars and try and depict the truth behind the face of war ( sometimes serious sometimes humorous
