If you have even more money burning a hole in your pocket you can book an 'edge of space' flight which costs a good few thousand more. The fact this is even possible gives me goosebumps
Sounds to me as though the Russians are strapped for cash, giving pleasure flights in there war birds.

Flew from Southend back to Glasgow on the Embraer 195 again this morning. Only 25 on board. They need to start advertising properly or i fear the route will be dropped.

Been on a few of those in my time. Had some good ones too. Went out in high seas once, we had past the point of no return and the waves got bigger and bigger.
As you know Hovercraft ride over the water, not through it. So what happens when the wave falls? Yep the whole Hovercraft falls with it. Being a youngster at the time I thought it was a blast....'Old people' where however not having as much fun. People where actually screaming! lol
As an aside, I used to work for the indemnity company that insured them, So we got to go behind the closed doors during a crossing. Great view from the flightdeck and the cargo deck! That was pretty scary. Not a lot have seen it but EVERYTHING is chained down. cars busses lorries. Motorcycles wedged up against the walls with cushions between them and the walls. Now this was a calm crossing but all the vehicles where hopping up and down on their springs like mad.

A bit OTT for London to Glasgow, a B767 for a one hour flight!

B757's are a nice jet to fly on, not sure you'll have lots of legroom on a Condor flight though. Bon voyage.

Nice one Rupert. A truly satisfying job isn't it, sometimes happy and sometimes very sad but the flying can be very rewarding and varied. I did it for 8 years, your photo brings back some memories.
