My first long haul flight of the year and I have to endure a 7.5 hour flight in this bird today, I’ve spent the same amount of time waiting for it because of a delay. Ah well, the biz class seat will make up for that.

737-800 out to San Diego, CA & AB 320 back to OH. Nice ride, but pilots don't land like I remember. Very smooth 25-30yrs ago, like aircraft carrier landing now.

        It was probably the auto-pilot!

Or ex-Ryanair, they seem to think they’re driving tractors.

737 is pretty close to a tractor

Well, certainly no L1011, DC10, or 747, but I remember landings to applause where reverse thrust was the most evident indication you were on the ground.

I had the privilege of flying on the Boing A380 couple of years ago to Singapore with my wife.
How on earth did it get into the air :astonished:

A380 is built by Airbus, not Boeing, and is larger than the 747, its' closest competitor.

I was watching the Ryanair B737’s landing as I waited for my flight and boy do they bang them down.

Never mind getting in the air, it’s the landing that matters. I work for the company that made the body & wing landing gear for the A380 and it’s proven to be very reliable.
