    Your worst nightmare has returned!!!!

    Me back!

After nearly a month and 1600 miles wandering around the Scottish West Coast, Island hopping and then over to the Outer Hebrides, I have come home to reality and I don't like it much!

Words can't explain and pictures can never show, how beautiful the pure white beaches and turquoise seas are on the Outer Isles....Me and the present Mrs. Ron have been blessed to be able to visit this part of the world, and feel a certain privilege to have caught the magic sand between our toes.

Enough sentimental twaddle. I'm off to dust down the work bench and try and catch up with all your new stuff.

It's nice to back with my buddies once more.

    Cheers all,

    Ron

Yes we are lucky up here... It's an easy drive to some of the world's most amazing scenery on the small scale.

I'm currently on a boat off Shetland, it's a bit barren up here but it's still nice. The west coast is simply amazing. Glad you enjoyed.

The Western Isles are one of life's little secrets. I spent a week in Benbecula recovering a U/S Seaking and the drive over to Uig through Skye and across The Minches was spectacular. It's difficult to imagine the beaches and sea being the colours they, more like the Caribbean than the Hebrides, but a damn sight colder!
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

Welcome back Ron. I work with a guy who comes from the Outer Hebrides and his pictures of home are simply breathtaking. I also have a good friend who was originally a Faroe Islander and his images of home leave you stunned. It all goes to show what I have said for years that the best scenery is on our doorstep in the UK. Why on earth anyone would want to go through the aggro of flying somewhere when we have places like that defy belief!!

One thing that caught my attention in recent news items regarding the issues in Tunisia is the fact that there are approximately 20,000 UK tourists in Tunisia at the moment. ............and two weeks ago we were watching Charlotte Church demonstrating against austerity!

                        Where are the pictures Ron?

Welcome back matey , sounds like you both had a great time . As many others have said , the amazing places weve got in this country just dont get the credit they deserve ,and not enough people can be bothered to get out and see what we've got on our doorstep. thankfully the spirit of Livingstone etc. is still alive and well and can be found in a camper van in north wales !! . keep on exploring mate and lets see some pics , cheers tony
