My enthusiasm is firing on all cylinders, but.......

I've been looking at all the completed builds flying through on here and I'm getting worried...

Although my 'mojo' - whatever that is - is up to speed, every time I get to my work bench Mr. Sun comes out and model making goes out of the window.

Judging by the amount of excellent stuff being built at the moment, is it only me that keeps in 'Tick over mode' and prefers to wait until the summer is over before setting to properly with models?

I'd be interested to read how my mates on S.M. approach kit bashing in the summer months.

    Cheers,

    Ron

I tend to agree! I have a Matilda to paint, which ain't gonna happen in this temperature with acrylics, and a whole pile of PE to make for my Dreadnought, but, to be honest, i'm finding sitting in the shade in the garden, reading a book and popping over here is quite enough!

        I'm with you Ron!

My modelling mojo has left with the arrival of the fine weather - though I often think ours is more of a autumn / winter hobby

I finished off the Panzer IV, was going to start the 1/24 Huey...but just cannot be bothered, popped into the shed to put the model away and it was just stifling!

Warm, sleepy and just want to sit or pop on here with the fan going.

Also I will be going away to my caravan so modelling will be on and off. They go nowhere so enjoy the sun while we can.

As it 'appens, I seem to 'ave 'won' loads of free time so I'll be spendin' more time than usual at the bench despite the weather - I'm not really an outdoors type.

Can't say as I blame you for taking advantage of whatever good weather we have though Ron.

Makes no difference to me although it does alter the way I build , I tend to do more little builds or build in sections , the heat slows me down , I do more painting in the hot weather as it drys quicker so as long as I've thinned it properly I never have a problem

Love it. Window open. Listen to all the voices outside. All those on the restaurant roof garden area enjoying a pint. Short shirt sleeves. Perfect model making weather.

A walk along the marina pop in for a pint back for dinner then a bit more model making.

Got to make, at 77, all the hours and mins tick by full of what I like to do I. I am enjoying that very much indeed. I must be near to heaven but not just yet please.

I am currently on a short break in my work schedule ('til Friday) and had planned to make a little 1/72 kit for fun as I haven't managed anything for months. The lovely weather has put a stop to that! My model room is essentially a conservatory, a lot of glass, and when the sun is out it's about 1000 degrees in there. Much better to enjoy the weather in other ways

Next major project is slated for later this year with a Cyber-Hobby Bf 110 in my usual 1/32 scale, hopefully done by Xmas. If we get our now traditional wet autumn I should be fine

                  Cheers

Well I work outside most days so by the evening I've had enough of the sun, and at the weekends I would still rather be indoors in the cool, except for the next month when every weekend is accounted for, poo, no modeling, well unless I can sneak a bit in.

Im with ron , the nice weather always gets priority over anything else , my model making output always slows to a trickle in summer , we just love to sit out in the fresh air , tony

A bit of everything, mountain biking gets a good bit of attention and anything fitness related. Model making sneaks in after the wee one is in bed and at the weekends in snatched hours. More so when Lucy decides she wants to build our paint too, recently she has found new friends and has put her model down for a summer outside.

Also, I'm currently working offshore so all I can do is watch you guys build and order any rare items that come by on eBay that are affordable.

Now is a good time to build for me!!!

I'm working outdoor.....so on the afternoon I prefer to be at my man cave, just working a bit.

On winter I prefer to rest near the chimney with a good book on my hands

Well my man cave is in the loft and when the weather is hot it turns into a sweat box so I won't be doing any modelling myself but I will be getting the Honda CBX out and having a play on that instead.

other than that just sitting on the sofa in my underpants surfing the web and watching TV etc. I also have a few project things in the garden that need finishing.
