Not wishing to stoke the fire too much, but I agree with Laurie and Peter.
Others might not agree, that's fine, but to me it reads like spamming - full of self praising and advertising your 'shop' - whatever way you try to disguise it.
Well done for acquiring the kit, but this thread is what it is - no question.
I'm surprised the mods haven't added to the comments.....
Hi and welcome
I can't see a problem with trying to help someone out to be honest that's what we're here for to get help and give help
I do agree with your sentiments totally Ian. My gripe is the way in which it is being done.
Each of us on here tries to help the other but with out ulterior motive or reward other than a grateful thanks.
Laurie

I am not one to talk as i often publicize my own website on this forum: however for me it comes down to is this forum hurt by the website being promoted.
My website for example showcases completed models, it is not a forum and i would be surprised if members were to leave this forum for my website (as they are tailed differently). However, a shop wishing to drum up publicity and generate sales may hurt this forums shop.
Ultimately we will never know whether Models4Hobby started here to generate sales or to genuinely help a friend. Lets not fight over it guys; that's down to Ian and his moderators. I personally love this forum because everyone is friendly and rule are not stupidly enforced like they are on some others.

Josh. Hello the first 6 lines, of the original message, out of ten say here is "my shop". Oh then "I for got" for the last 4 lines.
On rules the forum only has 8 rules. Most have a hundred and eight. Intervention of moderatorshere are rare and I bet most not public (my perception).
Nothing wrong, in my opinion, with members of this forum giving their considered thoughts. The forum would not exist with out it's members and on this forum
the maximum leeway is given. It is interesting that it is members who have placed an article who appeal, when things get hot, on the whole to the moderators to moderate.
Some forth right things are said on this forum and for me that is excellent. Equally there is a great response. Equally after the event there is no rancour.
Members are accepted for their views as we have seen recently. I think that is very rare, among forums, and a again rare and a credit to this place.
OMG honestly beginning to wish I hadn't posted at all - simply trying to find a kit I find facebook weird and not as talkative and being a forum owner myself with 20k visitors a month I knew because I had our store logo as an avatar people might jump on me.
But I took the view better be honest than be seen as some covert spammer which has zero to do with why I posted the opening thread the way I did.
As much as I prefer forums its a pity some will take 1+1 and always reach the totally wrong conclusion.
But rather than let the thread go and let me be Laurie you seem to have a what I call the VM streak....
