    FRUSTRATION IN MODELLING.

At the moment i'm getting rather frustrated in my modelling due to my illness and disability. The past 6 months have seen a downward trend-struggling with my eyes-despite glasses and illuminated magnifier.

Dropping things-a lot, hand cramps and shakes.

Getting fed up to pick up a kit, start it and then it all goes wrong. Hopefully just a faze and should calm down-but at the moment I am getting fed up.

Doing another 1/24 car, a Dodge Monaco as a civvy version and I just sit and stare at the thing, frightened of making a total mess of it-yeah, I know I do wrecks but really wanted the 2 CV to be nice-I made a right mess in building that-just don't want to do it with the Monaco.

Just having a moan and feeling sorry for myself lol.

Don't worry Si, we all feel like that at various times!

It might sound silly, but I read that clapping your hands helps stop them shaking / twitching. I've tried it & it does work - to appear less of an idiot I put We Will Rock You on first!

It's one of life's many ironies that we need steady hands & good eyesight just as they're slipping away from us!

Don't fret Si , it will probably pass, I my self have degenerating discs throughout my entire spine and sitting at the bench is sometimes impossible for days at a time. Funny enough at such times I'm better off up and about. See your doc and see what can be done to help you

Is there nothing they can do physio wise for your hands (i don't know about your illness/disability ) my friend has had a lot of physio to help his rsi which is crazy bad. Think it helped. There are also lots of other "treatments" so to speak like accupuncture and such that sometimes have unexpected results.

I won't patronize by saying much else but I hope you don't loose your enthusiasm etc...

Love it Patrick. Describes a good percentage number in the population.

On the other hand not me I could not get enough seconds minutes and hours in my life as a young man

          They were just filled.

Cricket was my love. Played on a Thursday. Practised Mon. Tues. Wed. Fri. Played for my school

Saturday morning, An adult team Saturday afternoon and all day match on a Sunday.

In between I studied architecture. Later after leaving school I found time to meet some girls (cricket first).

Also practice playing the church organ 3 times a week. Motor bike clean.

Always on a Saturday between cricket matches hoovered the sitting room and cleared up the

          kitchen Mum out at work

Sunday night an hour in bed listening to Radio Luxembourg top of the pops. Ah yes then a bit of sleep.

          Just a great life.

Sorry to hear that mate hope you get respite from it soon, as for the kit you're a master mate and even blind with both hands tied behind your back you will knock it into shape.

Sorry you're going through a tough time at the moment, Si. I hope things improve for you. I've really appreciated the imaginative stuff you've built and shown on the forum - I'm still reasonably able-bodied, and I can't produce anything like the standard of your builds.
