As pledge floor polish as now disappeared from all my local supermarket shelves I've just got these to keep me going as although it's not everyone's favourite I love the stuff.

So folks what was your latest panic/impulse buy

You do know they are going release Klear again?

I have two bottles of the original Klear and two bottles of the one before yours with the red label, as I now only use it on clear parts it will last me my lifetime.

I know there are those singing the praises of the Humbrol stuff but for my money I'll put my triple dipped Klear canopies up against any done with Humbrol Clear, when your at Telford take a look at the Canberra SIG and tell me their canopies aren't the best you've ever seen All triple dipped in Klear :P

Actually for some reason "Testors" is discontinuing its enamel thinner, the only thing that works against its paint unless you use nasty turpentineops: so looking to buy some up. Probably some whacked out enviro - blackmailing from our wonderful "Eco - Grand - Soviet"............Jim

if you dip clear 'glass' parts in it it makes it go really clear and see through, gets rid of scratches, also to some degree stops it from fogging if you use ca with it

also good for making a shiny surface for decals........and for coating over before a wash

main advantage of the old style kleer was that it was so cheap and available

still got a couple of bottles of the original formula but i do hope they are reintroducing it, never liked the new stuff cos its a wax not a 'varnish'

We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no ones been

                    What paul said

It makes surfaces all shinny and seals in all the decals and it's cheaper than all the branded varnishes for modelling plus it drys really fast. The last thing I used it on was the mustang

you cant get the original stuff unless you take out a second mortgage these days.....the stuff that replaced it isnt the same cos its a wax...some people swear by it, some hate it................humbrol do some stuff thats supposed to be the same as original klear but in little bottles (at a price of course).....ive air brushed it before now and got great results but you have to have good ventilation cos when its gets atomised its not nice stuff

This explains pretty much everything about Klear / Future

Buy Humbrol Clear it is a much better product. amazing it is designed for the job.

It sticks to plastic with out flaking. It is thicker and more resilient. It does all that Klear does and more.

Plus it does not smell and give you a headache. It is much easier to get a good finish with an airbrush

with Clear including not being poisoned

However Klear is much better on floors than Clear. Almost as if Klear had been designed for the purpose.

Buy a bottle of Clear and it will not cost you a fortune.

Hope that is clear about Klear and Clear.
