What nice kit for £60?

    Have a look at the Trumpeter 1/32 Bf 109 E3/E4, that retails somewhere around the £30 mark so that gives you scope to find somthing else. also as far as mottling goes if you do not have an airbrush lightly dabbing a cotton wool ball in paint and then applying it to the side of the fuselage gives a great mottled effect. Just a thought

      Gives me ideas for a few "what-ifs" - Royal Scottish Air Force!! lol =D I've seen someone build Republic of Texas tanks on another site!

        Thanks Andy - I will check that one out. I do have an airbrush (well, three in fact, ahem) but have only been using one since about Feb and my first attempt was poor. I don't doubt I'll improve with practice but would rather not do so on a pricey model...

            Just general heads up but Famous have gotten together with Italeri and en some of the new kits form Tamiya they are marked with " kit made by Italeri".Tamiya's new stuka is the Italeri one, as is the new flak 88 in 1/48 Scale!!If we are lucky, Italeri might put out some of the Tamiya stuff that didn't sell to well in Japan...Sorry for the high-jack.IanM

              Good spot Ian. This sort of thing happens quite often so it is always worth checking. It is also why you can't really generalise about different brands,most of them have a few stinkers and most have some good'uns as well. It all depends what the ratio of one to the other is :lol:
