    Coventry Model Show

    Hey all and Gern(Dave)

Late show review as my girl friend is really ill and today found out she need to start dialysis. But had a really great day on sunday. Met Gern for the second time what a lovely man.

The only but best buy was a 1:35 panther A early worth £35-£40 for £10 plus found a PE set worth £15 inside. WHAT A DEAL!

I think Dave bought most of the show lol but got some nice kits for good prices, I'm sure he post and say what he bought

All in all great day. Next is the griffin show in Rugby on july 31st includes a BBQ

Very kind words Alec, thank you. I could say the same of you.

It was indeed an excellent day, but I have to say I didn't actually buy most of the show! I got just 8 kits and a bit of paint.

I was beginning to wonder if Alec was actually going to buy that Panther. He had been eyeing it up for hours but thinking £12 was a bit steep! As he left, I thought he might be going home empty handed but I bumped into him as I was putting my last purchases in the car. He'd decided at the last minute to buy it on his way out!

Nice to see you got an unexpected bonus with the PE Alec - as well as a discount!

I have noticed however, that when buying kits from shows, it's surprising how often you find they have a little extra such as a bit of PE or resin or masks. I knew I would get extra PE with my BR 52 'cos the guy gave them to me to put in the box. I didn't expect it with my Tamiya Steyr but the PE grill set was included so a £10 buy turned out even nicer. Having said that, it doesn't always work out that way. The Crusader I bought has had the side skirts taken out of the box so I'll have to build it without them. But still a bargain at £6.

      Gern

PS Best wishes for your girlfriend Alec.

Sounds Like a good time was had by all-

I hope that your girlfriend is OK and makes a good recovery.

Gern, Thank you for the photos of those aircraft I asked about. What are the chances of finding a Hunter, a sea Hawk and a Sea Vixen all parked up next to each other!!!
