Is there a new Star Trek series on the way ?

last night while bored I was skimming the Internet for something to watch and I came across a site about a new TV movie called Star Trek renegades

It's a fan movie but with a few of the original cast members , Walter Koenig, Tim russ, Robert pickardo, also a few known actors , Edward furlong, Sean Young although Sean Young has let herself go over the last few years

    Here's a trailer

That looks really really good for a fan film, some moments are like the real deal, very few cheaper looking scenes

I was impressed with and I have seen it just don't ask me where , it is a bit cheesy in some places and over acted in others but it's not bad , it has a very star trek story to it and I like the look of the USS Archer

At the end it leads you to believe it's not the last one and although I don't think it would be picked up by the big networks it could turn up online and DVD you never know

Sarah loves star trek. We watch the films together and I did like ng but I was seriously getting into enterprise towards the end before they dumped it.

Maybe star trek series are just not going to pull the same ammout of viewers in anymore unless they Hollywood up.

Ask any real Star Trek fan and they will say they want to see the earth romulan war , enterprise was hampered by poor scripts and trying to be like the original series , I have the complete series of it and bar about five episodes from the first two series it was really bad but it picked up a lot in the third and fourth intact i think the fourth is the best series of any Star Trek series , it answered questions and had the best alternate universe story than all the others put together IMO

There is a market for it but it just has to find a good angle and I think this could be that angle a group of renegades doing starfleets dirty work is intreaging

Have seen it, not bad, acting and some effects a bit ropey, but enjoyable.

            I wonder if there will a part...big part...for me?

It is a Commodore's dress uniform from the 'Kirk' era films. Not one of my favorite costumes.

                    Here is me beaming out.
