It's thinner that can be used with enamel type paints. I originally bought some to thin White Ensign paints. It is actually a blend of various solvents and the composition and quality varies from brand to brand. Whatever the mixture of solvents it is "hot" stuff and will attack the styrene of an injection moulded kit. I use it for a deep clean of my airbrushes, knowing that they have O rings and seals that can tolerate it. It will make a horrible mess of some cheaper airbrushes!

If I was never allowed to use it again I could easily do without it so I doubt that anyone absolutely needs it.

    Cheers

I've got a couple of Iwatas and they have not been adversely affected by cellulose thinners. It's not my regular cleaner,I probably give my airbrushes a deep clean every 8-10 weeks or so.

        Cheers

John , ive used cellulose thinners as a liquid cement for years, just apply it with a brush like normal liquid poly cement , much cheaper if you buy a litre tin too (or 5 litres like i did!!) cheers tony

Also essential for cleaning the AB after using Alclad or other cellulose based paint (like car paint etc) Or for dipping metal AB parts in to clean the dried crap off them.
