Model building can be extreemly rewarding and I'm sure very beneficial to help to along the path to recovery. Start with something small and easy and when you get a kick out of doing that progress to something else. You've obviously got plenty to choose from.
Don't be afraid to ask questions though and keep the lines of communication open so we can help whenever you feel like you need it. -

Take your time Graham there is no rush. A day at a time & I am sure they will soon pass. You have taken a good step to talk about it all as the worst thing is to bottle it all up.
If you can engross yourself in the things you like best then that is a greatest aid to getting back on top of life. I have found this in my life when things are not going as well as expected.
Best wishes

Great to hear from you again Graham.
As has been said by the others, the biggest step has been taken, now its just a matter of keeping on walking. I know that for me modeling has saved my sanity, almost. Not been able to get out to much/do to much for the last year, so my model hobby has helped me keep my feet on the ground.
