Well said Mark, I guess flying requires access to a field and boats require access to water so the availability of either could be a contributing factor.

I have the best of both worlds here, There are 3 Model Boat ponds within easy access of here, nearest is 1 mile away, next is 3 miles and the other 6 miles....Flying sites are also 1 mile away...off the Local Beach or at the top of the Great Orme for slope soaring, Rhyl Club field is about 15 miles away but not a difficult drive to get to.
Numerous places round here suitable for model cars too including an old disused quarry site open to public for the Offroaders.
What a great place to be for my Hobby !!!

yup i too am very lucky,i have several flying fields very close by, i have a boating lake only 6 miles away and plenty of places to run my car... i can choose my model formy mood and the weather conditions....
i have model railways, RC car, RC boats, RC subs and RC elctric plane. and a Tank...
and if all that is off limits for any reason i have boxes of LEGO !
