I thought id just have a general rant about the government cuts, not modelling related i know but really frustrating none the less. As some of you know i was a police officer for 11 years and now work for the police on the dispatch side, our force has been told that it has to make further budget cuts of £26 million, if we get rid of every civvi worker, the dog section and traffic that saves just £6 million a year, they are having to look at cutting back on officers probably down to 600, the min needed for our county is 920, all we need now is a sign up for the criminal fraternity to say come on in the doors are open.

Stupid, we have one of the best forces in the world and no guns carried. Funny how things work, cut benefit for disabled people-it was the government that got rid of the Remploy workplaces for disabled. And then they cut services for Police, Fire, etc. Madness.
