I fully understand your frustration with the old Airfix kits Roger. but they've made a conservative effort of late by introducing newly tooled kits onto the market in all scales. The pic above shows the comparison of old vs new tool but you can still get a decent result from an old kit but it just means more work sanding scribing filling etc. but it gives you a great sense of achievement when your done. So don't give up on Airfix as they now have some greatly detailed kits and you would be missing out. Cheers John

Your right I was just on one lol I have built 2 bf109 new tool kits and they are much better I'm doing a 48 scale hawker fury 1 at the moment the cockpit detail is so wrong and lacking I usually do tamiya so you could say I have been spoilt anyway your haul looks good I love your red tail mustang got some decals in the stash must do one soon
