It certainly is but not to be used as in the picture ore you could end up with supercharged paint fumes in your face lol. The flat pipe end goes in a gap in the window or door to vent it outside.

Yes. It sucks away the fumes. I have one and it works well, at least for acrylics which don't produce fumes as much as enamels which are based on White Spirit.

I got some things, not very exciting but very useful: material for a little bit of scratch building like various thickness of styrene sheet and sections, rust pigments and the associated fluids, and some tiny dressmaker's pins the explanation for which will need to await the completion of the small scratch built object.

Unless someone can guess what the pins could be used for. (The prize will be a photo of a bottle of whiskey I got for Christmas.)

The heads would make great rivet detail

takeslousyphotos: Here is your promised prize. "Islay malts are renowned for their peaty smokiness and Bowmore is no exception. We carefully smoke our malt in a peat-fired kiln, just as our ancestors did over 200 years ago." It gas a light taste. Its such a pity I can't share it with you over the Internet!

Daughters 1 and 2 bought me this:

Looks a nice kit, but whatever has happened to box art? This is nearly as bad as that on the box of my current Cyberhobby Bf 110! As someone brought up on the fantastic, action packed, Airfix box art by Roy Cross I find this sort of thing bland and uninspiring. Cross' art made the boxes collectible and it has quite rightly been collected into a couple of books.

At least I can now make the model look better than the picture on the box

                              Cheers
