    The Carpet Monster

Building a 1.350 hms dreadnought. Lost a few pieces of pe due to the sheer ferocity of my beige carpet monster. Because er indoors is constantly hoovering, I have no blooming chance. To ease the situation, I have resorted to brandy. I have subsequently lost more bits

Try stretching a couple of layers of fine mesh - maybe a pair of tights or similar - across the nozzle of the vacuum. That might drag a few bits back.
